Le ferry hybride \u00ab Berlin \u00bb op\u00e8re \u00e9galement sur la ligne Rostock-Gedser, mais contrairement \u00e0 \u00ab Copenhagen \u00bb, il navigue sous pavillon allemand.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Hambourg\/Rostock) Lorsque Scandlines a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 en 2019 d&rsquo;installer une voile rotor Norsepower sur le ferry hybride \u00ab Copenhagen \u00bb, les donn\u00e9es techniques du producteur Norsepower Oy Ltd, les exp\u00e9riences de quelques autres compagnies maritimes ainsi que ses propres \u00e9tudes et calculs ont servi de base. La voile rotor Norsepower a \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9e en mai 2020. Scandlines a maintenant eu environ un an pour collecter des donn\u00e9es sur le fonctionnement de la voile rotor sur le \u00ab Copenhagen \u00bb et son effet, en particulier sur la route entre Rostock au sud et Gedser au nord.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Nous nous attendions \u00e0 ce que la voile rotor sur le \u00ab Copenhagen \u00bb entra\u00eene une r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de CO<sub>2<\/sub> de quatre \u00e0 cinq pour cent. Cette attente a \u00e9t\u00e9 satisfaite, ce qui nous rend maintenant pr\u00eats pour la prochaine \u00e9tape, et c&rsquo;est pourquoi nous avons \u00e9galement pr\u00e9par\u00e9 le ferry s\u0153ur \u00ab Berlin \u00bb pour une voile \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Michael Guldmann Petersen, COO de Scandlines.<\/p>\n<p>Le \u00ab Berlin \u00bb dessert \u00e9galement la ligne entre Rostock et Gedser. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son emplacement parfait, cette route remplit la condition pour un effet optimal de la voile sur la propulsion, \u00e0 savoir que le vent frappe la voile \u00e0 angle droit.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Conditions de vent optimales<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>\u00ab Notre route \u00e0 travers la mer Baltique s&rsquo;\u00e9tend dans une direction nord-sud, et le vent vient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement de l&rsquo;ouest ou de l&rsquo;est. Donc, notre voile rotor b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de conditions optimales \u00bb, explique le responsable des op\u00e9rations satisfait.<\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;autres mesures \u00e9cologiques de Scandlines sur la voie vers des ferries sans \u00e9missions ne sont pas aussi visibles de l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur, car elles se trouvent sous la surface de l&rsquo;eau. Mais une voile rotor qui s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 30 m\u00e8tres dans les airs est un signe tr\u00e8s clair d&rsquo;une vision verte.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Dans l&rsquo;ensemble, l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la voile rotor a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s grand \u2013 et la surprise initiale des passagers face \u00e0 la \u00ab chemin\u00e9e \u00bb a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 importante. La plupart des membres d&rsquo;\u00e9quipage sont d\u00e9sormais des experts pour donner des explications techniques qui sont facilement compr\u00e9hensibles \u00bb, rapporte Michael Guldmann Petersen.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Mise en service en 2022<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Tuomas Riski, CEO de Norsepower, d\u00e9clare : \u00ab Nous sommes ravis que Scandlines \u00e9tende l&rsquo;utilisation de notre technologie de voile rotor, apr\u00e8s que l&rsquo;objectif de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de CO<sub>\u00b2<\/sub> a \u00e9t\u00e9 atteint sur leur premier navire, le \u00ab Copenhagen \u00bb. Le fonctionnement de notre voile rotor serait pratiquement applicable \u00e0 environ 30 000 navires de la flotte mondiale actuelle et nous esp\u00e9rons que cette confiance croissante dans la technologie de propulsion \u00e9olienne enverra un autre signal aux armateurs et aux op\u00e9rateurs. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9paration pour la voile rotor consiste notamment \u00e0 construire une fondation en acier sur le ferry, sur laquelle la voile rotor sera install\u00e9e. Les travaux auront lieu lorsque le \u00ab Berlin \u00bb sera en cale s\u00e8che \u00e0 Remontowa en Pologne \u00e0 la fin mai.
