Wincanton snaps up Cygnia
Wincanton, a logistics service provider for the UK market, is acquiring 100% of the shares in Caledonia Bidco, the parent company of Cygnia Logistics, from Crescent Capital. Cygnia, which will continue to operate under its own brand, is a mid-market e-commerce and multichannel e-fulfilment provider. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1990, Cygnia is working with brands such as Brew Dog, Moonpig, Molton Brown, Revolution Beauty, Whittard of Chelsea and Feelunique.
The company has approximately 700 employees operating from four sites in UK. This acquisition follows the Wincanton Group’s investment in its e-fulfilment facility in Rockingham, Northamptonshire earlier in 2021. (sh)
