Weekly train service launched in India

DP has launched a new rail-led multimodal service in India.

The train links Gandhidham in Gujarat to India’s national capital region (NCR) around Delhi. It runs weekly and follows the introduction of intermodal services in India connecting southern Gujarat and Chennai to the NCR. As part of the newly launched weekly rail service, a dedicated container train will commence from Bhimasar, Gandhidham every weekend.

The new rail-led multimodal service is digitally enabled, with advanced real-time tracking technology, which streamlines operations and provides complete visibility of cargo. In addition, the launched service can combine with first and last-mile delivery support from DP World’s trucking solutions. (ben)
