Weekly ONE service to five Asian ports
Ocean Network Express (ONE) will add Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport) to its East Coast 2 (EC2) container service starting February 2025, enhancing direct connections between Asia and Jacksonville.
The weekly service, employing 13,500 teu vessels, will call at Jaxport's modernised SSA Jacksonville container terminal on Blount Island, supported by a 14.3 m deepwater channel. The service rotation includes major Asian ports such as Xiamen, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Busan, as well as Manzanillo, Savannah, Charleston, and back to Jacksonville.
With the recent upgrades at Blount Island, including expanded container handling and increased capacity to 600,000 teu, the service is expected to boost trade in retail goods, electronics, food, and intermediate supplies, attracting jobs and economic growth to the region. (pb)
