Warehouse space for mountain men
Bergzeit, the shipper belonging to the South Tyrolean company Sportler, has commissioned an expanded shuttle warehouse with more than 57,000 new bin locations as well as batch picking in Otterfing, Bavaria (Germany). The new systems were integrated during ongoing operations and successfully launched in September 2022.
Founded over 20 years ago, Bergzeit has developed into a successful online supplier of mountain sports equipment: over 2 million customers can choose from a range of more than 40,000 articles from over 500 brands via the successful web shop. Based in Otterfring, the company also runs two branches in the south of Munich. Technology company Fortna was involved as an advisor in the project. (sh) www.bergzeit.de
