Waco hosts AGM
At its annual general meeting in Istanbul on 14 – 17 April, the Waco System welcomed 122 delegates for three days of discussions on freight insurance and logistics. Co-hosted by a delegate from Turkey, Eenco Logistik ve Ticaret, the event saw companies from 106 countries being reminded of the importance of insurance policies in a dynamic logistics landscape.
Additional sessions were held on the new requirements of the incoming import control system 2, for which logistics companies will have to update their IT processes. In view of the instability in the Middle East and technological advancements, it is becoming increasingly important to build up resilience to deal with longer transit times and potential cyber-attacks.
