Vital link for medical supplies
The CMA CGM Group mobilised its aerial expertise in partnership with Setcargo Logistique Internationale last weekend in order to transport necessary medical equipment to the French West Indies for the French ministry of health. Since early last year, the global shipping and logistics provider has led several solidarity actions to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
As a new outbreak hits the Caribbean, a fast and agile transport solution was required to supply local hospitals with necessary medical equipment. CMA CGM mobilised an A330-200F from its own fleet in a few hours to transport the 43 tonnes of cargo between Paris and the French West Indies.
After being loaded onboard in the evening of 28 August 2021, it was safely delivered to the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique on the following day. (ah)
