Vital ingredient from Argentina to Mexico
On 20 January 2021, Aeromexico performed its first transport of an active ingredient that will help produce vaccines against Covid-19. Aeromexico is now controlled by Apollo Global Management, which intends to downsize and improve the efficiency of the airline.
A B787 brought the pharmaceutical consignment on a commercial passenger flight from Buenos Aires to Mexico City. On board were three Vaqtec containers with a total weight of 2.4 t. The Mexican flag carrier's Dreamliners can ship up to eleven such containers per flight.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Aeromexico has transported more than 3,600 t of vital goods to Mexico and fifteen other countries. More news from Latin America in the regional focus of our ITJ 09-10/2021, out next Friday, 19 February 2021! (ah)
