Vancouver airport finds new partner
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has selected Cushman & Wakefield as its exclusive advisor to secure a partner to invest, complete construction and lease-up of a 27,871 sqm facility near the airport’s main terminal.
The facility was initially designed to create additional capacity in utilities when the airport was experiencing double-digit growth.
With a view to optimise the land on Sea Island, YVR is now seeking to drive value from its infrastructure and land assets to diversify revenues and grow its core airport business while supporting regional economic development.
YVR is Canada’s second busiest airport and has been named North America’s best airport for twelve consecutive years. In 2021, the airport received the Covid-19 airport award of excellence from Skytrax. (cj)
