Van Gogh to tour Latin America
DHL Express and the Van Gogh Museum are expanding Heart for Art, an art educational programme, to Latin America.
The programme, which is designed to give children better access to art and the world of Van Gogh, debuted in the USA in 2022, engaging over 22,000 children in the country. DHL coordinated the shipping and logistics for the project’s materials. Local partnerships were also involved.
Now, Heart to Art will be expanded to Latin America. The first pilot started in Buenos Aires, Argentina in November 2023. Over 780 teachers of the local art museum are being trained to give lessons on the subject. Further steps will be taken to expand the project in both Latin America and the United States, bringing art closer to many more children. (mk)
