USA: new rail hub to serve west Texas mine
Vista Proppants and Logistics has started to operate its new transload terminal in Texas to facilitate the enhanced delivery of frac sand into the Midland and Delaware Basins of the Permian Basin.
The terminal, which is located near Vista’s West Texas mine in Monahans enables the frac sand to be shipped by rail. The amount of frac sand produced in West Texas has grown markedly resulting in more truck traffic and significant congestion on the roads. Thanks to the new transload terminal, Vista is now able to deliver its products more efficiently by rail in several directions. (ben)
