US haulier deploys Globe Tracker's IoT devices
Southwest Dedicated Transport, a motor carrier from Oklahoma (USA), has selected Globe Tracker, a provider in IoT tracking and monitoring solutions for logistics assets, to outfit its refrigerated trailer fleet with IoT devices that track and monitor cargo conditions.
The GT Sense solution can provide information on whether the reefer is sufficiently powered and measure the internal temperature, humidity, light and barometric pressure inside the cargo area. GT Sense devices have wireless sensors that can be placed on the trailer walls, in pallets or at box level. The infrared proximity sensors can also detect door openings.
