ULD partnership with Unilode
American Airlines and Unilode Aviation Solutions have signed a long-term ULD management partnership, starting on 1 October.
Unilode will provide full ULD management, maintenance and digital tracking solutions, leveraging its global repair network and advanced tracking technology. As part of the deal, Unilode will equip American Airlines’ ULD fleet with Bluetooth and lora-enabled tracking, enhancing visibility, efficiency and asset control. The eULD app and customer portal will support real-time monitoring and operational improvements.
“Unilode’s expertise will modernise our operations and improve reliability,” said Greg Schwendinger, president of American Airlines Cargo. Unilode will also expand its Americas customer success team and coordinate operations from its Bangkok operations control centre.
Unilode, which deploys around 200,000 ULDs worldwide, has thus further strengthened its position as a leader for ULD management solutions. (ah)
