Ukrainian know-how for US sports team
Using one of its AN-124-100, Antonov Airlines, a Ukrainian expert in super-heavy and oversized air transportation, completed the transfer of the "flying" yachts AC75 for the American Magic team and accompanying cargo from Providence, RI, USA to Barcelona, Spain, where it is preparing to participate in the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup.
To be loaded on board, the AC75 racing yacht, 22 m long, 5 m wide and 3.5 m high, was previously placed on a special cradle, which was moved into the cargo cabin using the on-board winch. It is a modified version of the monohull yacht built for the 36th America's Cup, which Antonov Airlines flew from the USA to New Zealand in 2020.
