Turkish Cargo flies 100 million vaccine doses
Turkish Cargo has carried 100 million Covid-19 vaccine doses, roughly 450 t, from the production centres to destinations in its network. Key and certificated destinations in Turkish Airline's network have been Baku, Belgrade, Copenhagen, Rome, Mexico City, Miami and Sao Paulo.
With 30 years of experience when it comes to special cargo transportation, the company proved its capability with goods that have different transportation requirements, such as seven distinct Covid-19 vaccines in temperature-controlled containers.
With its share in the global pharmaceutical logistics market now grown to 7.5%, Turkish Cargo enhanced its capacity in terms of cold air depots and increased its active and passive container offer in order to prioritise medical transportation during the pandemic. (ah)
