Trucks ordered for green zones
In France, Urby, a subsidiary of the La Poste group and the Banque des Territoires, has ordered 20 electric trucks from Renault. The 16 t vehicles designed for urban transport will be put into service in around fifteen French towns as from 2022.
With the expansion of its emission-free fleet, the company is responding to growing demand for eco-friendly transports and the phased introduction of environmental zones in France.
The D Z.E. 4x2 Renault trucks can be deployed in all parts of the city, including the narrowest streets and areas with traffic restrictions. The deliveries will be carried out without pollutant or noise emissions. (ben)
