Transport route along Amur River
Transcontainer has delivered the first cargo shipment from China to its Moscow transport hub in Russia via a new route. The river part of the stretch connects the Chinese city of Fuyuan (Heilongjiang province) with Khabarovsk (Moscow region). The maiden train was loaded with 100 Chinese-made cars which were transported in 50 40 ft containers.
According to the Delo Group, Transcontainer’s parent company, it has plans to transport about 600 cars: part of them before the end of this year's river navigation season, the rest when the river reopens for shipping in spring next year. (ben)
