Towards an Easa approved P2F solution
Brussels-headquartered Akka Technologies and Avianor from Montréal, the majority-owned affiliates of Drakkar's aerospace & ground transportation division, have signed a collaboration agreement for Avianor's passenger-to-freighter conversion solution, certified by the Canadian civil aviation authority.
In order to promote this solution internationally, the parties also signed a framework agreement to confirm that the project complies with widely adopted EU standards.
Avianor president & COO Matthieu Duhaime: "We reacted quickly to the needs of our customers in this time of crisis. In just shy of a week’s time, our specialists reconfigured a first B777-300ER followed quickly by six other B777 and A330. We are currently at work converting A340 aircraft cabins, soon adding another certified wide-body solution." (ah)
