To Rotterdam and beyond
Dachser’s new container freight station in Waddinxveen, near Rotterdam, gives it access to a key hub for LCL consolidation and export. The facility is 25 km away from the port of Rotterdam.
From this base, Dachser can offer frequent transport services connecting its own European cargo network with international shipping routes. In particular, the company is aiming to increase its less-than-container-load shipments from Europe to markets in Asia and the Americas.
Dachser will use the hub to consolidate its customers’ goods coming in from the Netherlands and Belgium as well as parts of France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe. Handling the shipping process at its own station allows the company to better control its services and reliability. (mk)
