TNT Swiss Post's new facility
TNT Swiss Post, the joint venture between TNT Express and Swiss Post, has opened its new location in Oftringen (Canton Argovia). The transport company previously headquartered in Buchs (Argovia) designed the building itself. New technologies and equipment as well as improved processes will treble the location’s sorting capacity. The facility is headed by Ron Willemsen, managing director for Switzerland and Austria.
In addition to its access to three important motorways, TNT Swiss Post’s new location has a storage space of 5,800 sqm (previously 4,000 sqm). With its 350 employees it can process 4,500 parcels per hour. TNT Swiss Post is part of the Fedex network.
Its portfolio includes overnight shipments to the USA, deliveries to more than 50,000 postal code regions in Europe and door-to-door services within Switzerland. (sh)
