Tinie Manders invests in electric truck
DAF Trucks has delivered a fully electric truck to Tinie Manders Transport, headquartered Geldrop (Netherlands). The e-vehicle joins the company's fleet of 50 tractors.
The DAF truck, featuring VDL technology, is used on behalf of DHL for shuttle services in the Eindhoven region. The 9.7 t, 4x2 vehicle can haul up to 37 t and has a range of approximately 100 km.
Tinie Manders Transport will combine the fully electric truck with a fully electric refrigerated trailer. This unique combination makes the haulier eligible for a Dutch subsidy for sustainable transport. (ben)
