Throughput and awareness in Abidjan
In the Ivory Coast, Terminal Roulier d’Abidjan (Terra), which provides handling services and operations related to ro-ro ships at the Port of Abidjan, has received the “Green Terminal” label issued by Bureau Veritas.
This award, which was bestowed in June 2022, attests to the reduction in the environmental impact of the port’s activities such as the employees’ awareness of and their involvement in environmental issues, implementing actions to reduce paper and plastic waste, optimising water and energy use, and sound management with regard to the allocation of handling equipment.
Terra handled almost 40,000 vehicles and 23,000 EVP containers in 2021. (sh)
