Three more locos for Regiorail
The leasing company Railpool will deliver three Alstom Traxx Universal Last Mile locomotives to Regiorail, France’s fifth largest freight railway company. The long-term rental agreement, which was signed recently, includes an option for an additional four locomotives.
The new rolling stock will allow Regiorailto increase its services in Europe. Their bi-modal capability is also suitable for various domestic Regiorail traffic routes, improving energy efficiency and saving CO2 emissions.
The contract is Railpool’s first success in the French electric freight locomotive rental market. The leasing company operates in 19 European countries, with its fleet covering 85,000,000 km every year. (ben)
