Three for zero emission heavy transport
One shipper, one vehicle manufacturer and one logistics and transport company have opted for a common approach in green logistics: Ikea Industry, Volvo Trucks, and Raben Group have inked a collaboration agreement on zero emission heavy transport in Poland.
To this end, Ikea will introduce heavy electric Volvo trucks for internal transport flows at two of its industry factories in Poland, which will be operated by Raben Group. The learnings from the pilot will be used for a roll-out of the electrification of transport operations in a larger transport network.
Ikea is a large transport customer with more than 2 million shipments worldwide per year. (sh)
