Three days of supply chain discourse
Austria’s Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL) recently hosted its second international supply chain community meeting 2024 at Schloss Schönbrunn, bringing together industry players for three days of discussion and exchange of views.
Supply chain management was a main focus at the event, with representatives discussing the role of digitalisation, technology and young talents in the industry. Key themes included the threat of cyberattacks on digital systems and the increasing complexities of supply chains. The debates prompted industry executives to step up to the challenges and monitor risks and benefits. Training and similar events can further support these executives in their roles.
Additionally, VNL provided a forum for students and managers, allowing them to discuss the future of the industry, work-life balance and the expectations of young professionals. VNL is Austria’s biggest logistics network with over 5,000 members. (mk)
