They went in two by two: Airline cares for pets

On 1 March 2019, American Airlines Cargo began accepting dogs, cats and ferrets into and out of Dublin (DUB, Ireland). Starting today, 1 April 2019, the carrier is partnering with Coppersmith Global Logistics to assist its customers to clear their pets through customs in the USA. Coppersmith works under power of attorney to arrange for the clearance of pets through the US government’s regulatory agencies.

The company says: “We know that any international voyage is stressful for both the animal and owner, so delays in the release of a loved one is the last thing the customers need. We work closely with the importer to ensure that all information is correct and complete prior to loading, then electronically file for release before the pet even arrives. Offices nationwide enable us to process the necessary paperwork in most international airports.” (ah)
