Thessaloniki and Ashdod bond
The Port Authority of Thessaloniki and Ashdod Port Company, Israel, have inked a new agreement. The new cooperation focuses on innovation, with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity and operational efficiency. At the same time, both parties are planning joint initiatives to respond to issues related to sustainability.
Furthermore, the agreement provides for the joint implementation of networking activities, the participation in international projects and the exchange of knowledge and best practices.
The Port of Thessaloniki is the major conventional cargo transit port of Greece, while Ashdod Port is located about 40 km from Tel Aviv. (cd)
