The fair that inspired a successful partnership
It was during his time at transport.ch, which specialises in organising fairs for utility vehicles, when Alois Weibel first started to work with Renault Trucks. Three years ago, he bought his first five-axle truck manufactured by the French traditional brand. Now he has added the second C520 P10x4 to the fleet.
Equipped with a kipper, the new truck joins the other three HGVs in the fleet. Alois Weibel set up his own firm with one digger 25 years ago. Today, his company in Schongau, canton Lucerne, employs ten people, and his fleet has meanwhile grown to four trucks and several construction vehicles.
They are used for earthworks such as excavation or laying pipelines, demolition and restauration, natural stone work and for transporting demolition waste containers. Each of the trucks travels about 40,000 km per year. (ben)
