Terminal opened in Georgia
The Tallinn (Estonia)-based CF&S Group has launched a new transit hub in Poti, Georgia. The terminals will handle various types of cargo and offer warehousing and cargo deliveries from the port of Poti to the inland terminal, cargo loading and lashing on railway platforms, and trucking and container deliveries between Poti/Batumi in Georgia and Central Asia.
For delivering rail cargo, CF&S will use its own platforms or enclosed wagons with a current fleet of more than 400 units. The new terminal is equipped with loaders for cargo from 1.5 to 5 t, a reach stacker for up to 45 t and a 150 crane, the group said. The location strengthens the global logistician’s transit connections between Europe, the USA, the Far East, and Central Asia. (ben)
