Targeting the peak cashew season
Maersk has launched the Korosho Express, a seasonal bi-weekly ocean service aimed at supporting Tanzania's growing cashew export industry. Operating from late October 2024 through February 2025, the service will sail from the port of Mtwara, Tanzania, to major markets in China, India, and Vietnam.
The Korosho Express is tailored to meet the peak cashew season, providing dedicated capacity and improved connectivity to facilitate smoother and more efficient export flows.
Maersk’s head of East Africa market, Babafemi Jay Aderounmu, underscored the service's role in offering reliable shipping solutions to enhance the country's vital cashew trade. (pb)
