Takeover strengthens healthcare logistics
Geodis has received the necessary regulatory approval and thus now finalised the acquisition of Trans-o-Flex, a German network for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical goods services and express premium deliveries.
With this purchase Geodis has added services for time-critical deliveries to its portfolio and can now offer reliable and time-definite deliveries in Germany, one of its key markets.
The addition of Trans-o-Flex capabilities to Geodis’ existing forwarding and contract logistics businesses will strengthen the company’s position in Germany, where it generates close to EUR 1.5 billion worth of revenue with more than 3,400 employees. Trans-o-Flex will remain independent and will be run by CEO Wolfgang P. Albeck. (ben)
