Takeover extends intermodal fleet
TFI International has acquired Axsun, a North American provider of intermodal and freight brokerage services. Based in Montreal (Canada), Axsun operates out of multiple locations in Canada and USA, providing an integrated mix of intermodal services as well as over-the-road highway, drayage, logistics and warehousing on a primarily asset light basis.
The company has base of 100 customers, operates a fleet of 20 tractors and 300 trailers, generating annualised revenues of approximately CAD 90 million (EUR 62.3 million).
The Axsun takeover will extend TFI’s business activities, with many of its customers increasingly looking towards intermodal services as a solution for their freight movement requirements, the company said. (ben)
