T-Link puts facility in Thun into operation
The Swiss company T-Link has been specialising in industrial export packaging and freight forwarding logistics for 30 years. It continues to expand its network and has now opened an office in Thun in the canton of Berne, where a new packaging facility came on stream at the beginning of October.
With the lifting equipment available on this site, the company can package machinery and plant parts weighing up to 20 t. For handling heavier components weighing up to more than 100 t, including the possibility of loading the cargo directly on to inland barges on the Rhine, the T-Link packaging facility in Birsfelden near Basel is the place to go.
In cooperation with its customers, T-Link focuses on optimising export logistics procedures. By combining packaging and freight forwarding services from one source, manufacturers of machinery and plants gain internal resources, save costs and speed up their processes. (mw)
