Swiss carrier orders autonomous vehicles
Swiss company Planzer Paket is the first carrier in Europe to have ordered five self-driving electric vehicles from US start-up Udelv. In an initial phase, the autonomous vehicles are to be deployed as part of a pilot project on defined shuttle corridors in the larger Zurich area. The project is currently being developed and still requires official approval.
The Udelv vehicles are ideal for urban traffic: they use green and intelligent technologies, move quietly and offer a high degree of safety. The family-owned logistics company Planzer has been promoting and investing in sustainable power technologies and new mobility concepts for many years now. (ben)
