Sustainability takes centre stage
Rhenus Port Logistics in Rotterdam and Seaway 7 have renewed their partnership for another decade, building on a successful ten-year collaboration. Both companies are committed to enhancing the sustainability of their operations, with initiatives like using electric cranes and forklifts, and starting a pilot project for shore power in line with the port of Rotterdam's environmental goals.
Seaway7 values the strategic location of the Rhenus terminal near the North Sea, which provides flexibility for its operations. Peter van der Steen, managing director of Rhenus Port Logistics Netherlands, highlighted the importance of safety in their partnership, which he said was crucial for long-term business success.
In a press release, the companies confirmed that they wished to continue their joint efforts to maintain high safety standards in the industry. (pb)
