Strategic partnership at Hong Kong airport
Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) and Sats HK have formed a strategic partnership with DHL Air Capacity Sales (DHL ACS) at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). This collaboration, building on an existing partnership between Sats and DHL in Singapore, enhances Hong Kong’s role as a major air cargo hub.
Since January, AAT has managed over 50 weekly freighter operations for DHL network carriers, while Sats HK provides ramp handling services to ensure seamless operations at HKIA.
Paul Ennis, DHL ACS’s vice-president for global operations, highlighted the partnership’s role in strengthening service quality in DHL’s global network. Bob Chi, CEO of Gateway Services Asia Pacific at Sats, described the milestone as part of Sats’s mission to provide end-to-end air cargo logistics solutions.
This initiative has reinforced HKIA’s status as a leading global air cargo hub. (ah)
