Some toll exemptions for handicrafts
From 1 July 2024, tolls will also be mandatory in Germany for goods transport vehicles with a technically permissible maximum laden mass (TPMLM) of more than 3.5 t and less than 7.5 t.
Under certain conditions, domestic and foreign craft businesses do not have to pay tolls for their vehicles, depending on the specific route taken and the nature of the goods transported.
Effective immediately, craft businesses can register their vehicles that meet the requirements for this exemption on the website of the toll collector Toll-Collect. Companies whose vehicles do not qualify are advised to install a suitable on-board unit device. (ben)
