Solar powered system tracks milk deliveries
Australian haulier McColl’s Transport has implemented a new form of telematics tracking throughout its milk division. The independent carrier of dairy, food and consumer and industrial chemicals has partnered with Orbcomm.
The tracking system is solar powered, monitors the position and temperature of the product en route and notifies users of any door activity. The devices are currently fitted to 18 ISO tanks within the milk division.
McColl’s Transport operates in every mainland state of Australia and has a fleet of more than 195 prime movers and 544 tankers. (ben)
