Qatar Airways Cargo and Qatar Development Bank have introduced an initiative to support local perfume manufacturers in the state of Qatar.
By offering discounted rates to this industry branch to export to international markets, the airline will provide opportunities for Qatari exporters to expand their business activities through business to consumer channels.
In other news, Qatar Airways has brought claims in the English High Court against the Dubai-based Al Arabiya news channel relating to a video simulation published in August 2017 which purported to explain the effect of the blockade on Qatar and Qatar Airways.
In a 130-page judgement of the High Court published on 6 November 2020, the court dismissed Al Arabiya's application to contest the jurisdiction of the English court to hear the claims. (ah)
