Smart locking system for greater security
Parked or unaccompanied trailers currently have no effective physical protection of their own against theft and mix-ups. This is where the new smart locking system Smart Lock developed by Mansio and PEM Motion comes in. Smart Look system is intended to prevent unintentional or criminal coupling.
The permanently installed keyless module can be integrated into the trailer telematics software or operated via a separate app using Bluetooth and mobile radio.
The developers say that the system can provide effective theft protection for complete semi-trailers. Only about 1% of the 2,292 cargo theft cases in Germany take place during the journey. (ben)
