Segro expands
Segro has been granted the building permit to expand the storage and logistics area in the new Segro Logistics Park Oberhausen (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) by a further 48,000 sqm. The company has been developing the logistics park since 2019. When the extension is completed, the park is expected to comprise a total rental area of around 117,000 sqm.
The 40,000 sqm completed during the first construction phase have already been leased to logistics services provider Geodis. In a second construction phase, Segro built around 29,000 sqm of storage and logistics areas which are currently on the market.
The third, final, construction phase will begin in 2021. Der Segro Logistics Park Oberhausen is located close to the motorway junction Oberhausen. There is also a good connection to the port of Duisburg. (mw)
