Second cool move by Lineage Logistics
US-American Lineage Logistics is expanding its e-commerce fulfilment abilities by a second takeover. The group has acquired Perishable Shipping Solutions (PSS), an e-commerce pick-and-pack order fulfilment service for goods requiring temperature-controlled storage and shipping. T
his purchase follows Lineage’s 2021 acquisition of Crystal Creek Logistics (CCL), another specialist for temperature-controlled goods. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Currently working with about 100 e-commerce food and beverage brands across eight facilities dedicated to D2C fulfilment, Lineage handles nearly 250,000 orders and shipments per month. With its strategically located fulfilment centres, the company aims at optimising two-day ground shipping to 99% of the US population. (sh)
