Seat on Confitarma board for Cesare d'Amico
The Italian shipowners' association Confitarma has unanimously elected Cesare d'Amico to its board of directors and executive committee. D'Amico is CEO of the D'Amico Group, a Rome-based entity with offices around the world.
On another front, the trade body has decided to submit proposals for reducing bureaucracy in the shipping sector to Italy’s transport ministry. The aim is to ensure that ships flying the Italian flag remain competitive at an international level.
In addition, Confitarma wants to step up its interaction with the Association of Italian Banks (ABI) and institutional funds. (mw)
