Sealand: From Wilhelmshaven to Alexandria
Sealand, a Maersk company, has launched a new liner service. It connects Germany's only deep-water container port Wilhelmshaven with various destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean.
From Wilhelmshaven, the vessels call at the ports of Limassol in Cyprus, Ashdod and Haifa in Israel, Alexandria and Port Said in Egypt and Mersin in Turkey. Iskenderun in Turkey and Beirut in Lebanon can also be reached by transhipment. (cd)
