Seafrigo sets up in Vietnam
Seafrigo has opened its first office in Vietnam and appointed Fabian Hautiere to lead the operations as managing director in the Southeast Asian country. The cold chain logistics provider has added a new base in Ho Chi Minh City, to gain access to Vietnam’s economic capital as well as main ports and airports.
As the company focuses on food logistics it can also benefit from the large seafood and fruit export business in the country. Vietnam’s average GDP growth rate of 6%, as well as its free-trade agreements with the EU and various countries in the Asia-Pacific area make it a key hub in the region.
Fabian Hautiere, who has lived in Vietnam for the past twelve years, gaining local experience in supply chain and account management, joined Seafrigo from Kuehne+Nagel recently. (mk)
