SBB Cargo International crosses the Brenner Pass
Construction works on the Italian section of the Simplon route between Iselle di Trasquera and Domodossola will continue until 5 September 2020. In total, the route will have been closed for three weeks, preventing semi-trailers (P400) from travelling through Switzerland.
To ensure that SBB Cargo International can continue to guarantee its entire service portfolio, it has redirected its transport routes for customer Hupac Intermodal over the Brenner Pass (Austria) in cooperation with its Austrian partner LTE, which provides traction between Munich (Germany) and the Brenner. The redirected services involve seven roundtrips a week for Hupac. (ben)
