Savino del Bene: new air cargo tracking system
Italian freight-forwarding company Savino del Bene, which was founded in Florence in 1899, has invested in a new technical solution to upgrade its air cargo tracking capabilities.
Developed by digital service provider Cargo Start, the airport-to-airport tracking solution Star Tracking provides real-time, unfiltered shipment status updates from multiple carriers on one single platform. Its integration into a transportation management system (TMS) is implemented by API interfacing.
Commenting on the collaboration, Simone Ghelardini, corporate air director at Savino del Bene, says: “We have chosen this tracking solution as a complement to our newly launched TMS.” Currently, the company has a network of more than 289 offices and over 4,300 employees on the five continents. (sh)
