Samskip links Scotland to Amsterdam

Short-sea operator Samskip has made some changes to its Amsterdam–Hull service. The line currently offers three sailing a week on this route; in future it will introduce a second vessel and offer two Amsterdam–Hull and one Amsterdam–Grangemouth sailings a week.

Eastbound vessels will leave Grangemouth on Fridays and arrive in Amsterdam on Saturdays. Westbound sailings to Hull will depart from Amsterdam on Saturdays (arrival Sunday nights) and Tuesdays (arrival Wednesdays).

Scott Montgomery, Samskip’s manager of sales and operations in Scotland said that his line made this move “because our customers have been asking us to provide more capacity to and from Scotland for some time now." (cd)
