Samaritan's Purse: first B757F now in service

Samaritan's Purse inducted its first B757 freighter into service on 1 September 2023, almost 18 months after acquiring the aircraft. After the takeover, the B757 had spent an extended period in Greensboro, NC, undergoing maintenance.

The Christian humanitarian organisation headquartered in Boone, NC took delivery of the jet in March 2022. It had first entered service for Eastern Airlines in 1985 and was converted by Precision Aircraft Solutions into a freighter in 2006.

Since then, the freighter has carried cargo for Varig Log, DHL International Aviation Middle East and Pacific Air Express. The disaster relief organisation, which deployed its new acquisition to operate a charter to the Hawaiian island of Maui, owns a large fleet of aircraft of different sizes and purposes, including very rare units such as a DC-3, based in Kenya, and a DC-8 freighter.
