Safe transport along Silk Road
Bolloré Logistics Germany recently handled the transport of sensitive goods from Xiamen in China to Bocholt in Germany on behalf of its long-standing customer Gigaset.
The highly sensitive IT components were packed in 66 pallets with a total weight of 10,915 kg. Their journey along the Silk Road through Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany lasted a total of 18 days.
The vehicles selected for this unusual type of transport were specially equipped to ensure that the goods were kept at the right temperature and transported under optimal conditions throughout the journey. Bolloré Logistics' integrated LINK system allowed end-to-end, real-time tracking of the shipment. (ben)
